Attend a D4 community event

Meet Susan at your local farmer’s market 

Throughout the year, the D4 office holds a ‘Food 4 Thought’ event, when Susan visits farmers' markets to hold informal conversations with residents. No appointment is necessary, so you can just stop by the D4 booth and chat.  

This is a place where you can discuss the things that matter most to you, including challenges you and your neighbors are having; upcoming events you'd like to share, questions you may have on county issues or projects, or maybe you know of a neighbor, parent, teacher, business or organization that is doing great work to better the community and should be recognized.  

D4 Reads 

Each month, Susan visits a different library throughout Santa Clara County to read to the youngest residents as a way to encourage reading and promote literacy among children. Find #D4Reads on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.  

Invite Susan to attend an event 

Susan always enjoys speaking and interacting with community organizations, neighborhood associations, and other groups throughout County and beyond. She’s also passionate about sharing the D4 office and the County’s work in housing, behavioral and mental health, criminal justice reform, and children & families as a symposium moderator or panelist.
